We Are Going Back!
June 26 to July 9, 2022
We are heading back to Micronesia for the trip of a lifetime. Starting with one of the great dive destinations in the world - Palau - a healthy marine environment, tropical waters, ship wrecks, jellyfish lake, history, Palau has it all. We follow that up with a week of the best wreck diving in the world aboard one of the best live-aboards in the world, the Truk Odyssey. These guys know what they are doing. The Odyssey is an excellent diver friendly boat with great food and a professional dive operation leading dives on multiple World War II shipwrecks. You couldn't ask for better.
The Palau portion is scheduled for June 25 to July 2, 2022 and then we hop over to Chuuk July 2 to 9, 2022. There will be additional travel days at the beginning and end to be determined. The last time we traveled to this part of the world it took 17 days total. We are accepting deposits for both destinations now. Truk Odyssey is limited to 16 passengers and some of thos spaces are already spoken for. It will fill up. Palau has better availability, but not unlimited. Sign up for one or both trips.
A little video so you can get a taste.

"Rum Runner kicked off the new year with our annual Florida Springs trip, only this year was an extra special one! With over 50 people in attendance, we had a house chock full of our staff, students, divers, snorkelers, and their loved ones. While the air was a bit chillier than last year, the water was (as always) a beautiful 72-74 degrees Fahrenheit! Our dive and snorkel destinations included Troy Springs, Blue Grotto, Paradise Spring, Ginnie Springs, Rainbow River, and Crystal River. We said hello to Virgil the Turtle at Blue Grotto and got up close and personal with the manatees at Crystal River. After a long day of diving or snorkeling we headed back to the house for one of Carolyn's marvelous meals, good conversation, and even better company!
After everything was said and done, Rum Runner came home with 2 new master divers, 7 newly certified advanced open water divers, and 5 basic open water divers that just completed the first of many underwater adventures to come! On top of all the new additions to our Rum Runner scuba family, we also got to witness some of our already-certified divers overcome personal fears and grow more comfortable with their abilities in and around the water. Congratulations to all of you! We cannot truly express how proud we are of our divers and the community you all help foster, as well as for each and every person's role in helping the trip run as smooth as possible. We can't wait to see you all again next year!"
Dive the Dry Tortugas and the Vandenburg
70 miles west of Key West, Florida, lie some of the most spectacular reefs in the Florida Keys. Most dive sites range from 50 feet to 80 feet to the sand and are home to over 250 species of fish, thousands of invertebrates, sharks, rays and turtles. The USNS Gen. Hoyt S. Vandenberg is our last stop on the way home, a mere 40 minutes from the dock.
